I went to the 2nd MUFMech as a first-year graduate student of Victor Goldschmidt--I suppose I wasn’t given much of a choice! I don't remember much of the fluid mechanics of that meeting other than the fluid we drank at the original Frog Tavern and the long wait for the showers.  I returned after several years hiatus and have been a regular since.  I helped revitalize UM’s involvement and was the first Top Frog (a coin that I phrased) to have a MUFMech web page. The original color theme was maize and blue, but it has been this sickly green/white color ever since I passed the job the next year to MSU. I believe MUFMech has been important to my professional development.  I just wish it didn’t interfere with my last minute tax filing every year.
